Is ArborLibre free?
Yes. ArborLibre is currently a free public beta.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start a tree book without creating a profile or password.
Where are my tree records stored?
Your books, tree records, coordinates, and photographs are stored in browser storage on the device you are using. ArborLibre does not provide account-based cloud synchronization.
What happens if I clear browser data?
Clearing ArborLibre’s site data can permanently erase every local book, tree, observation, coordinate, and photograph. ArborLibre cannot recover them without a backup ZIP.
How do I move to another device?
Download a full backup ZIP on the original device, open ArborLibre on the new device, and restore or merge that ZIP from Settings.
Will an app update erase my books?
Routine code updates are designed to preserve browser-stored records. Keep a current backup before important changes, moving web addresses, or switching devices.
How accurate is the GPS location?
ArborLibre records the coordinates and accuracy estimate supplied by your device or ArborPuck connection. Signal, permissions, surroundings, and hardware all affect accuracy, so verify important locations.
Does ArborLibre replace an arborist?
No. ArborLibre documents observations; it does not certify tree health, identify hazards, guarantee species identification, or replace a certified arborist or site inspection.
